At the southern end of Nebraska Beach you will find another, very beautiful kind of rock – sandstone. This is part of the uppermost unit of a sequence of Permo-Triassic sedimentary rocks into which dolerite sills intruded. Older mudstones and siltstones of this unit can be seen just across the Channel, at Tinderbox (next image).
